TICKLING WHISKERS OF THIS CAT

Viiru is a good guard for birds. She sings as long as someone comes to watch her and only then comes down. She shows the way to the forest and starts singing again when we are too far and it is time to turn back home. When I paint, she sleeps on my paper block or points with her paw what part should be done better. Now she takes care of my grandparents and for sure is a very happy countryside cat even though it is -20°C there. But surely she feels the coming spring as sun rays on her whiskers.

The painting was a gift for my aunt and the photos are from last May.

Hopefully you too have sunshine on your fingertips, frost blanket outside and a beet root soup boiling for lunch! Have a good Tuesday!

  6. The painting reminds me the embroidery style in Suzhou, China.

  9. Thank you kindly! I am sure that she is very proud of all this attention on such a cold (- 20°C) day when she makes only very quick sprints outdoors to see who of the birds are around eating sunflower seeds.

  10. Yes, it is both so detailed and really capture the soul of the cat. Here is one link to their style : http://www.suxiou.com/dir/html/184.html

  13. Thank you for writing dear Françoise,

I love her too, she is a very special friend like any cat I guess =^-^=

Viiru loves snow even though at first she is very afraid of it. I think it takes a lot of smells away and she looses her tracks. But when she gets used to it, she has so much fun by listening through the snow the small animals walking under it and then it is a big cat and a mouse chasing game! She looks very funny when jumping in the snow and sometimes just listen for a very long time.

The coldest days she loves to sleep in, goes out only very quickly and comes back even quicker.

    Nice to meet you!
